In mid-May, Anexia won the Special Award “Green Technologies – R&D for the Future” at the Innovation and Research Award of Carinthia with its “Anexia Rail” project.
Cloud specialists from Anexia receive the state’s Innovation Award.
Intelligent algorithms and various mathematical models from Anexia ensure that ÖBB passenger and freight transport is more sustainable and economical. And the “Anexia Rail” project also earned the Klagenfurt-based internet and cloud company the Innovation and Research Award of Carinthia. This is because the project, which is supported by artificial intelligence, not only offers optimization potential for the federal railroads, but “Anexia Rail” can also significantly reduce the ecological footprint.
“This is a great award for our company,” said Anexia founder Alexander Windbichler, who was presented with the prize by Governor Peter Kaiser together with his team.
The cloud and internet service provider operates offices in Vienna, Graz, Karlsruhe and New York in addition to its headquarters in Klagenfurt. Anexia has 400 employees and serves 130,000 customers worldwide. Author: Christian Tragner
