Technicus Award Ceremony 2022

Technicus Award Verleihung 2022

The topic of the Technicus Award 2022 was “boundless vastness”. It’s an event organized by the alumni association of the HTL Mössingerstraße to promote creative students. In total, 13 projects were submitted by students from the grades one to four. Projects were, for example, a 3D eye, a robotic arm and a linear accelerator.

The topic “boundless vastness” can be interpreted in many ways. Thus, in addition to numerous technical submissions, there were also philosophical projects. This year, the projects were again evaluated by the jurors Alexander Windbichler, our CEO at Anexia, and Christian Smerietschnig, CEO of the Carinthian communications agency bigbang.

A project submitted by the second year is already in use: “Supported Notebooks”. The idea of the students was to repair old notebooks and thus reduce electronic waste. The repaired notebooks are now being used in an elementary school and middle school in Klagenfurt. The jurors were also enthusiastic about the project: “The reuse, educational and social aspects make it an important project for us.

The students’ enthusiasm for their projects was palpable, as was the case with the first-place winner in the 4th grade. He built an ordering system for the family business that recognizes when products run out and suggests reordering them in recommended quantities. “You can tell the heart and soul you put into it. You had a practical case and you knew you needed that in business. This can also become a product you can sell,” Smerietschnig said.

We were pleased to have been a part of the Technicus Award again this year with Anexia. We find it very impressive what the students have created. A big praise also to the alumni association, which promotes the creativity of already young minds. We are already very excited about next year’s submissions.
