Anexia ist auf allen Kontinenten der Welt mit Serverstandorten vertreten \u2013 mittlerweile sind es rund 100 Locations. Mit dem Aufbau dieser Infrastruktur \u2013 der Anexia World Wide Cloud (WWC)<\/a> \u2013 wurde vor mehr als zehn Jahren begonnen. Seitdem hat sich die Anexia WWC \u00fcber die Jahre weiterentwickelt und ist stark gewachsen.<\/p>\n

Um unseren hohen Qualit\u00e4tsanforderungen gerecht zu werden und unsere Kund:innen mit einer besseren Performance zu versorgen, wird jeder Serverstandort von Anexia-Ingenieur:innen in \u00fcber 70 L\u00e4ndern weltweit eigenh\u00e4ndig aufgebaut und gewartet.<\/p>\n

50 Serverstandorte in zwei Jahren<\/h4>\n

Vor der Corona-Pandemie hat Anexia 2019 damit begonnen, ihre gesamte Infrastruktur auf ein neues Konzept umzustellen. Weltweit konnten so bereits 37 Serverstandorte etwa in New York und Kopenhagen mit der gleichen Hardware sowie einer besseren und schnelleren Verbindung f\u00fcr unsere Kund:innen aufger\u00fcstet werden. Seit M\u00e4rz dieses Jahres setzt Anexia die WorldTour fort. \u201eIn den n\u00e4chsten zwei Jahren stehen 50 weitere Standorte auf unserer Liste\u201c, sagt Malte von dem Hagen, Director Global Infrastructure, der mit seinem Netzwerk- und Data Center-Team f\u00fcr die fortlaufende Weiterentwicklung der Anexia-Infrastruktur verantwortlich ist.<\/p>\n

Das Upgrade auf den neuen Blueprint verfolgt das Ziel, das gleiche Cloud Service an jedem Serverstandort weltweit anbieten zu k\u00f6nnen \u2013 ohne Abweichungen. Die Data Center sollen auf einem deutlich h\u00f6heren Automatisierungsgrad laufen, der Verwaltungsaufwand reduziert und die Reaktionszeit bei St\u00f6rungen so gering wie m\u00f6glich gehalten werden. \u201eZwei Drittel unserer Standorte sind noch mit Standardsystemen ausger\u00fcstet, jetzt gilt es sie mit der neusten Technik auszustatten\u201c, sagt von dem Hagen. \u201eDadurch bekommen unsere Kund:innen eine bessere und schnellere Verbindung.\u201c<\/p>\n

Schneesturm und technische Herausforderungen<\/h4>\n

Anfang M\u00e4rz startete Stefan Funke, Head of Network Services, erneut mit der WorldTour und flog in die USA. Dort erweiterte er die Serverstandorte im S\u00fcden und Westen der Vereinigten Staaten und wurde vor unerwartete Herausforderungen gestellt. \u201eIn Dallas legte ein Schneesturm die gesamte Infrastruktur lahm \u2013 es war richtig kalt und nichts hat mehr funktioniert\u201c, sagt Funke.<\/p>\n

In Los Angeles, konnte Funke nach seiner Urlaubswoche in Kalifornien die Arbeiten fertigstellen. Nach Kanada reist Florian Tschiedel vom Team Network Operations voraussichtlich im Mai\u00a0 und aktualisiert das Data Center von Anexia in Vancouver.<\/p>\n

Auf der Worldtour werden aber auch ganz neue Serverstandorte f\u00fcr die rund 100.000 Kund:innen von Anexia erschlossen. So stehen nach Ostern zwei weitere Standorte in Australien auf dem Programm: Christoph Kasser vom Team Network Operations macht sich auf den Weg nach Brisbane und Perth.<\/p>\n
