After intense work in recent months, Anexia Engine 3.0<\/a> was released last Friday. The Anexia Engine, which was released in a first version in 2014, is the Anexia Cloud Management Platform which allows our customers to operate various cloud services<\/a> in flexible self-management.<\/p>\n

The focus of this major release was to take the supporting structures to a new level and prepare the platform for the next additions to the Anexia Service Stack. As part of this release, navigation, UI and other key elements have been modified and improved to better accommodate the Anexia service structure.<\/p>\n

\"restructuring_redesign\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Head of Platform Solutions, Admir Karadza: „Although we are pursuing the concept of continuous integration and will continue to do so in the future, it was time to take the platform itself a step further and provide the foundation for additional services.“<\/p>\n

Now that the platform has been prepared for the next steps, the integration of additional services will be the focus in the coming months. We will gradually inform you about these new services, but first, we would like to provide you with insights into the new features of the recently released version 3.0.<\/p>\n

Network Automation<\/h3>\n

Another new feature within this release is the self-management of VLANs and IP subnets which provides fully automated provisioning. Starting in the second half of April 2019, this feature will be activated for the location in Zurich, Switzerland and gradually rolled out for all other locations.<\/p>\n

\"Teams<\/p>\n

Introducing Teams & Resources Pools<\/h3>\n

With this release we’re introducing „Teams“ and „Resource Pools“ which provide more flexibility and clarity in complex organizational structures. Users can be grouped into teams which reduces the complexity and time spent on authorization management. Resources can be grouped into resource pools \u2013 even across services. Access and extended permissions to resource pools can be granted to individual users and\/or entire teams. The authorization management itself has also been updated as part of this release.<\/p>\n

\"Dokumentation<\/p>\n

Online Documentation<\/h3>\n

For the services „Dynamic Compute“, „CloudDNS“, „CloudLog“ and the general Anexia Engine platform functionalities we now provide a comprehensive and searchable online documentation. It is available as an integrated version which can be displayed directly within the Anexia Engine, as well as in a separate, publicly accessible version. The online documentation will be gradually extended for additional services.<\/p>\n

Authentification (SSO) & Remote Authorization<\/h3>\n

Based on OpenID Connect (OIDC) it is now possible to integrate the identity provider of your choice into the Anexia Engine. This new feature enables Single Sign-On (SSO) and allows the management of users and permission groups from within your own, centralized solution.<\/p>\n

Voice Services<\/h3>\n

To tailor the user experience to the increasing needs of our core voice products, we also integrated carrier technology management into the Engine. Coupled with infrastructural automation, the entire ecosystem of telephony is now integrated. From phone number assignment, creation of SIP trunks and phone systems to automated provisioning of VoIP devices \u2014 all processes are now handled within the Engine.<\/p>\n

Outlook<\/h3>\n

We generally pursue the concept of continuous integration and, therefore, new features are constantly being added outside of major releases and existing functionality is being continuously optimized and extended.<\/p>\n
