The European cloud industry is at a turning point: CISPE (Cloud Infrastructure Services Providers in Europe) has restructured itself to strengthen Europe\u2019s digital independence. With a purely European leadership structure, the association is now even more focused on fair competition and digital sovereignty. Anexia will also play a key role in this crucial process: Alexander Windbichler, CEO of the Austrian cloud provider, has been elected to the CISPE board.<\/p>\n

A European Response to Global Dependencies<\/h4>\n

The Austrian cloud provider Anexia has been a driving force for sustainable and sovereign cloud solutions in both European and global contexts for years<\/a>. Windbichler sees his election as a confirmation of this commitment:
„I am excited to be part of the CISPE board from now on. CISPE has already made a name for itself through our fight against Broadcom\u2019s competitive practices \u2013 but that\u2019s just the tip of the iceberg. Hyperscalers also influence sovereignty. However, Europe’s digital future must not be dictated by just a few global corporations. A strong, independent European cloud requires European leadership.
