\"Alexander<\/a><\/p>\n

Der Standard discusses Amazon Web Services‘ (AWS) new \u201cEuropean Sovereign Cloud,\u201d which is being presented as a response to European requirements for data protection and digital sovereignty. Alexander Windbichler<\/strong>, CEO of Anexia, is clearly critical of this, emphasizing that control does not come from local staff, but from ownership, software sovereignty, and technical decision-making power. In his view, despite EU operations, Europe remains structurally dependent on its US parent company. He also warns against a development in which European customers fall behind technologically and are exposed to geopolitical risks in the event of an emergency.<\/p>\n
