As an Automation Platform Developer you will be responsible for the further development of our Automation Platform based on AWX. You work independently, are a real team player, goal and future oriented. And you are not afraid to break new ground and learn from your mistakes.

#Profile

In 2019, we created our Automation Platform A8N, a system which enables our teams to automate system-related processes. Your primary task is to maintain and (further) develop the Automation Controller component (AWX) based on Python 3, Django and PostgreSQL. You will contribute yourself and our requirements to the upstream projects (e.g. ansible/AWX) and further develop our internal tools to enable the integration of our business processes into the platform. You have solid and proven Python expertise, several years of experience developing web applications with Django and have a basic knowledge of PostgreSQL database. You know the cooperation in open-source projects very well and are not afraid of challenging tasks. As a reliable team member you act independently, are goal oriented and set a good example in terms of automation.

• Routine in the use of Python

• Several years of experience in developing web applications with Django

• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL

• Confident handling of REST APIs

• Experience in working with version control systems (especially Git)

• Good knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3

• Understanding of the interaction of network, server services and operating systems as well as good knowledge of Linux

• Very good written and spoken English skills, German skills is an advantage
