Export Prize for digital sovereignty – Anexia receives award for technological independence

Recognition for crisis response

On June 2, 2025, Anexia won the Austrian Export Prize in Gold at the Exporters’ Nite in Vienna’s Aula der Wissenschaften, beating out 100 competitors in the Information and Consulting category. The award ceremony was hosted by Federal Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer and WKO President Harald Mahrer. The prize was accepted by Alexander Windbichler and Jean-Claude Madin Cerezo, Team Lead Supply Chain Management.
This award honors not only our economic performance in international competition, but above all our fast, independent and technological response to global challenges.
Export Prize – Austrian Cloud
as a global answer
In 2024, the VMware takeover by Broadcom led to massive price increases in the IT industry. The demand for independent alternatives exploded. Anexia reacted immediately: Within weeks, we developed our own KVM-based cloud platform. We exported IT resources to over 40 countries in record time – 96% of deliveries arrived in under two weeks, directly and without intermediaries.
This ability to provide powerful and secure infrastructure in the shortest possible time was decisive for the award. It shows that Digital sovereignty is not a vision of the future, but already a reality – developed and delivered from Austria.
