Protect yourself from attacks: Anexia becomes part of Allianz für Cyber-Sicherheit

Written on August 5, 2020 by Lucia Schöpfer

How do we manage to make the internet a safe place where user data is protected and the danger of hacker attacks is minimized? We are convinced that this can only be done together. Since July 2020 Anexia is a member of the Allianz für Cyber-Sicherheit (ACS) [Alliance for Cyber Security] of the Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) [German Federal Office for Information Security].

More than 4500 companies are already registered as participants in the initiative, which was founded in 2012. The aim of the organization is to make the business location Germany more resistant to cyber attacks. Therefor the ACS offers support with information and expertise, provides a platform for knowledge exchange and helps to build up internal organizational competence with targeted programs.

Allianz fuer Cyber-sicherheit“We at Anexia are convinced that a strong community is needed to find solutions for current and future cyber threats. That is why I see great potential in the cooperative character of this platform. Our security experts at Anexia can exchange experiences with other ACS participants, discuss individual solutions for current risks and threats, and also benefit from the know-how of the BSI. A win-win situation for all participants,” says Lukas Kulmitzer, Information Security Manager at Anexia.

A study commissioned by the ACS in 2017 showed that almost 70% of German organizations surveyed had become victims of cyber attacks within the last two years. Almost half of the attacks were successful, and one in four resulted in operational failures. Seeing such high numbers and not taking actions is not an option for us. We are aware of our responsibility and are therefore committed not only to the Allianz für Cyber-Sicherheit, but also to the international Cloud Security Alliance.
