Anexia won the special award “Green Technologies – R&D for the Future” of Carinthia with its AI-based mobility-as-a-service product “Anexia Drive” and is nominated for the state award “Econovius” this fall.
The excitement was huge when the Innovation and Research Award of Carinthia (Innovations- und Forschungspreis des Landes Kärnten) – the highest prize in this field in Austria’s southernmost province – was presented at Lakeside Park in Klagenfurt on April 28. Anexia participated with its AI-based project “Anexia Drive” and was able to convince the jury.
The team surrounding CEO Alexander Windbichler and Innovation Head Philipp Hungerländer won the special prize “Green Technologies – R&D for the Future“ (“Grüne Technologien – F&E für die Zukunft“). “We are very happy. It shows that we are on the right track and that our efforts for a livable, green future are being seen”, says Hungerländer, who, together with Project Head Philipp Wernig, Product Owner Veronika Taferner, Sarah Frisch, Corinna Trink and Manuel Lackenbucher, is constantly developing “Anexia Drive” in the field of micro-public transport. “With our project we can show what is possible in the area of mobility in public spaces with the help of AI-assisted planning and cloud solutions. This would not have been possible without such a great team”, says Wernig.
Due to the successful participation in the Innovation and Research Award of the Province of Carinthia, which was organized by the Carinthian Economic Development Fund (KWF), “Anexia Drive” is automatically nominated for the special prize “Econovius” of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce as part of the State Prize for Innovation this fall.
