At netcup, we’re building the Platform department: a technical team that bridges infrastructure and operations, responsible for stability, further development, and in-depth root cause analysis. #Profile

  • In-depth technical analysis and long-term root cause resolution for complex problems
  • Management of complex incidents that go beyond day-to-day operations
  • Supporting our 3rd-level service desk with escalations
  • Technical design and support during the development of new products and projects
  • Development of automations and internal tools
  • Creating technical standards and runbooks for complex issues
  • Planning and executing complex maintenance tasks, including stakeholder coordination
  • Evaluating and implementing new solutions to improve our platform

#Wanted

  • Completed IT training or degree and/or professional experience in comparable positions
  • Advanced knowledge of administering common Linux distributions (particularly Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL-based distributions such as AlmaLinux/Rocky Linux, etc.)
  • Very strong troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of networks (troubleshooting) as well as solid experience with configuration management (e.g., Puppet) and scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Systematic and analytical thinking, as well as the ability to work independently and focus on solutions
  • Ability to work well in a team and strong communication skills
  • Excellent German and good English skills
