You are a system engineer who specializes in providing virtualized server templates and already has experience using Packer. #Profile

The focus of this position is to provide customized virtual server templates for our internal and external customers. This includes the automatic deployment of machine images for various systems, as well as automation of software and update installations on clients and servers. You take responsibility for the planning and execution of deployments and the definition of the automation policies for the installation of various operating systems and post-installation tooling. You will also test and validate new operating systems on platforms, making necessary adjustments to the tooling and policy framework. To build, validate and deliver new images to our customers and systems in a fully automated manner, is what you aim for.

#Wanted

• Several years of professional experience in an IT environment (ideally experience in a similar role)

• Good knowledge of using Packer (cloud-init, kickstarter, etc. an advantage

• Experience with Linux automation and common scripting languages

• Very good knowledge in administration of common Linux distributions (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)

• Teamplayer and high sense of responsibility

• Service-oriented as well as independent way of working

• Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
