Disciplinary and technical leadership of a team of X engineers in the virtualization domain
Responsibility for the development and operation of cloud services, as well as for overcoming operational and technical challenges within the team
Translation of customer feedback into actionable work packages and ensuring their successful implementation
Supporting the team through active listening and early identification of potential issues
Development and establishment of technical standards to help the team focus on service quality
Full ownership of the quality, performance, and continuous improvement of our services
Creation of pragmatic solutions to ensure long-term stability and maintainability
Crisis management and solution-oriented action in high-pressure situations
Simultaneous coordination of multiple complex topics and providing creative impulses to the team
Completed technical education or degree in IT or a related field
Strong expertise in designing, developing, and operating complex software applications on infrastructure level
Proven experience in both technical and organizational leadership of engineering teams
Excellent understanding of at least two programming languages in our software stack: Go, Python, PHP, and Java
Deep knowledge of GNU/Linux as an application platform at infrastructure level
In-depth understanding of infrastructure technologies (e.g., virtualization, containers, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Solid understanding of the interaction between networks, operating systems, and applications
Systems thinking with awareness of dependencies and interrelations in complex system landscapes
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality
Practical experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible is a plus
Sound knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance, including software testing and deployment logic
