As a System Automation Engineer – Observability (m/f/d), you will be responsible for our VictoriaMetrics-based observability platform. You will continuously enhance the platform and enable other teams to integrate it into their processes. You will also support the maintenance and further development of the Anexia Automation Platform, which is based on Ansible, while always keeping the overall architecture and integration of both platforms in focus.

Our VictoriaMetrics-based observability platform complements our automation platform. Together, they simplify the provisioning, operation, and maintenance of services across Anexia.

• Development and maintenance of our monitoring and alerting infrastructure
• Integration of existing systems into the platform
• Close collaboration with specialist teams on creating dashboards and alerts that provide deep visibility into our infrastructure and services
• Contribution to the further development of our automation platform – built on Ansible, AWX, GitLab, and Vault
• Ensuring seamless integration between the automation and observability platforms

#Wanted

• Several years of professional experience as an Automation Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
• Strong, hands-on production experience with VictoriaMetrics- or Prometheus-based observability systems
• Proficiency in the VictoriaMetrics and Prometheus ecosystem, including metric collection, querying, visualization, alerting, and troubleshooting – experience with Prometheus-based production alerting is particularly valuable
• Experience automating Linux environments with tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet (we use Ansible), as well as with common scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• A solution-oriented approach, enjoyment of teamwork, and the ability to work independently when needed
• Good written and spoken English skills; German is an advantage
